On our first full day in Sicily we visited the Cathedral in Monreale, a UNESCO heritage site that reflects the rich cultural history of Sicily.
We traveled from Rome to Palermo to join a food and wine tour in Sicily.
On our last afternoon in Rome, we visited a well-known espresso shop, then returned to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.
While in Rome, we visited the Jewish Ghetto in search of fried artichokes. We found them, and a history lesson, too.
